SB848 by Shapiro (Relating to the approval of certain permit applications by local governments.), As Passed 2nd House

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the definition of permit under Section 245.001, Local Government Code to include a contract or other agreement for the construction or provision of service from a utility owned, operated, or controlled by the regulatory agency. In addition, the bill would expand the purpose for which a local government may review an application for the permit.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated from proposed changes in administrative duties.
