SB851 by Shapleigh (Relating to a financial literacy pilot program in public schools.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Contingent of the availability of funding through gifts, grants, or other donations, the bill would require the Texas Education Agency to establish and implement a financial literacy pilot program in no more than five school districts.

 

The bill would require the agency to report to the legislature on the implementation and effectiveness of the program no later than January 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
