No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 143, Local Government Code (Municipal Civil Service) as it relates to rules and procedures for the administration of promotional examinations for firefighters and police officers who are members of the armed forces serving on active military duty. The changes in statute would apply only to those municipalities that have adopted Chapter 143.
