IN RE:
SB874 by Nelson (Relating to quality-of-care monitoring visits to long-term care facilities. ), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend 255.003 of the Health and Safety Code to allow Department of Aging and Disability Services quality-of-care monitors to give a nursing facility, assisted living facility, or Intermediate Care Facility for Persons with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) advance notice of an upcoming monitoring visit. Current law requires such visits to be unannounced.
