No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend 255.003 of the Health and Safety Code to allow Department of Aging and Disability Services quality-of-care monitors to give a nursing facility, assisted living facility, or Intermediate Care Facility for Persons with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) advance notice of an upcoming monitoring visit. Current law requires such visits to be unannounced.
