No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Government Code, Section 419.0082 to allow the Commission on Fire Protection to make nonsubstantive clerical changes to a rule and adjust fees prescribed by rule without review from an advisory committee. The bill would also add Government Code, Section 419.063 (d) that would prohibit the Commission on Fire Protection from approving a grant or loan application if an applicant provides fire suppression services and does not report incidents on a routine basis to the Texas Fire Incident Reporting System.In addition, the applicant would be required to furnish sufficient proof of incident reporting at the time of application for financial assistance.
