No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Historical Commission to create the Texas Treasure Award program to award businesses that have existed in the state for 50 years or more with a plaque, one for each of four levels of recognition. Other than the estimated cost for the plaques of $250 per fiscal year, no other significant costs are anticipated.
