SB982 by Van de Putte (Relating to certain practices to improve energy conservation in state buildings.), As Engrossed
The bill would amend the Government Code and require evaluations and presentations of energy efficient architectural and engineering design and alternatives in building construction projects. It is assumed that any additional duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.
This bill would take effect immediately upon enactment if it received two-thirds majority votes in both houses of the Legislature. Otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005.
