SB1024 by Deuell (Relating to prohibiting changes in certain prescription drug orders without the approval of the prescribing health care practitioner.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit pharmacist from changing a drug or medication prescribed by a practitioner, without approval of that practitioner, for participants in a health care plan managed by the Employees Retirement System or by the Teacher Retirement System. The bill would exempt generic substitutions.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
