SB1050 by Van de Putte (Relating to the promotional system for municipal civil service fire fighters.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create Section 143.0051, Local Government Code, regarding civil service status and procedures for promoting certain fire department employees in a fire department employed by a municipality with a population of 150,000 or more and that has a governing body of five or fewer members.

The bill would amend other sections within Chapter 143, Local Government Code, affecting municipal civil service procedures related to the promotional system for fire fighters.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated from the required changes in administrative procedures.
