IN RE:
SB1067 by Madla (Relating to the salaries of assistant county auditors.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code by removing the requirement that an increase in the salary of an assistant county auditor shall not exceed 5 percent without approval by the county commissioners court. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005. The bill would apply only to a budget for the county's fiscal year that begins on or after the effective date.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
