No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Department of State Health Services to compile and organize health outcome data collected under Chapter 108, Health and Safety Code, according to specified geographic areas. The Department would be required to consult with certain persons and entitities, including the Office of Rural Community Affais, universities, and local entitities, to define rural and urban areas.

The Department of State Health Services, Office of Rural Community Affairs, Texas A&M University System Health Science Center, and UT System Administration all indicate that existing resources will implement the requirements of the bill.
