LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 23, 2005

TO:
Honorable Eliot Shapleigh, Chair, Senate Committee on S/C on Base Realignment and Closure

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1105 by Madla (Relating to defense management authorities.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code as it relates to a defense adjustment management authority in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality with a population of at least 1.1 million. The criteria currently applies only to an authority in the City of San Antonio.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
