SB1133 by Hinojosa (Relating to posting notice online of the meetings of certain governmental bodies.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require each municipality, county, school district, junior college district, and development corporation that maintains an Internet website or for which an Internet website is maintained to post meeting notices on the website in addition to posting notices in accordance with current statutes. Certain local government entities would also be required to post the agenda for the meeting on the website. The bill would take effect January 1, 2006, and would apply only to a meeting held on or after January 4, 2006.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
