IN RE:
SB1149 by Harris (Relating to the electronic transmission of health benefit information between a health benefit plan issuer and a physician or health care provider. ), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the electronic transmission of health benefit information between a health benefit plan issuer and a physician or health care provider.  Based on the responses from the agencies, it is assumed that any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house.  If the bill does not receive a two-thirds vote in each house, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
