LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 28, 2005

TO:
Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1211 by Deuell (Relating to providing information about Respiratory Syncytial Virus under certain continuing education programs.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Department of State Health Services to include information regarding respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) as a part of education programs under Health and Safety Code Sections 161.0095 and 161.010. The agency anticipates that existing staff and resources would absorb the costs of incorporating information on RSV into existing materials.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
