SB1384 by Shapiro (Relating to regional tollway authorities.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would specify the procedures that a regional tollway authority must follow with regard to publishing and implementing the authority's rules. The bill would specify that a bank or trust company that acts as depository of the proceeds of bonds or of revenue that furnishes indemnifying bonds or pledge securities that an authority requires must have a main or branch office located in this state. The bill would also specify that a regional tollway authority is authorized to enforce requirements related to nonpayment of a toll regardless of whether the toll is remitted to the authority through an agreement with another entity.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
