No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require that a court charge an applicant a $30 fee for each application for expungement of certain offenses committed by minors, to defray the cost of notifying state agencies of orders of expunction. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005 and would apply only to an application for expunction filed on or after that date.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
