No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill establishes a statewide maintenance program for boll weevil and pink bollworm eradication and provides that the Commissioner of Agriculture may impose a fee on all cotton grown in a maintenance area.  The legislation, however, directs that this fee revenue be forwarded to the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation. The bill will not have a significant fiscal impact on the state contribution to this foundation.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
