No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill creates the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at The University of Texas at Brownsville. The University of Texas at Brownsville has indicated that they could implement provisions of the bill within existing resouces. Startup costs for the Academy would be funded with institutional resources.
