No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to services provided by manufacturers and distributors of beer to beer retailers.

 

The bill would allow a manufacture or distributor of beer to provide coil-cleaning services, including carbon dioxide filters, to beer retailers.  The bill would require the cost of providing the carbon dioxide filter to be borne by the manufacturer.  The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission would be required to adopt rules implementing the modifications to the Alcoholic Beverage Code no later than January 1, 2006.

 

The bill would be effective September 1, 2005.
