No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the bill, a technology research planning committee would be established. The committe would develop and adopt a statewide strategic plan for the support and promotion of technology research in the state. The committee could request reports and other information from institutions of higher education, the Higher Education Coordinating Board and other entities as necessary. Any costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill would be absorbed within existing resources.
