No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the bill, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) would be required to develop and annually update a strategy to enable institutions of higher education to identify, attract, hire, and retain faculty and staff who reflect the population of the state. The institutions of higher education would implement  the strategy and report annually to THECB. Provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
