No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the issuance of a permit for a new municipal solid waste Type I landfill or the areal expansion of an existing Type I landfill in certain circumstances. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality does not expect the bill's passage to result in significant additional costs to the agency.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
