SB1737 by Lucio (Relating to the Border Health Foundation.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Sections 112.003 and 112.004 of the Health and Safety Code relating to the Border Health Foundation. The bill would allow the Border Health Foundation to finance health programs in areas adjacent to the border outside of Texas. The foundation would be governed by a board of five directors, with vacancies filled by a vote of the board from individuals recommended by the Department of State Health Services. The Department of State Health Services indicates that there would be no fiscal impact from this bill.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
