IN RE:
SB1744 by Shapleigh (Relating to the creation of the Texas-Mexico Strategic Investment Commission.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to establish the Texas-Mexico Strategic Investment Commission. Many of the commission's functions that are stipulated in the bill are currently statuorily required duties of the border commerce coordinator. It is anticipated that any costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed by existing resources.
