No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 60 of the Water Code to authorize a navigation district or port authority to purchase items from the United States, the State of Texas, or a Texas state agency, notwithstanding other purchasing requirements contained in Chapter 60.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
