LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 5, 2005

TO:
Honorable Jane Nelson, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1869 by Gallegos (Relating to the Harris County Board of Protective Services for Children and Adults. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add adults to those persons who would be provided services through the Harris County Children's Protective Services, as well as would change the name of the board to the Harris County Board of Protective Services for Children and Adults to reflect that addition.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
