SB1874 by Whitmire (Relating to the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add automobile burglary to the purview of the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority and change the name of the authority to "Automobile Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority."

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation, any costs and duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2005.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
