LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

ACTUARIAL IMPACT STATEMENT

79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 8, 2005

TO:
Honorable Will Hartnett, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1410 by Campbell (Relating to annual state salary supplements for county judges.), As Introduced

HB 1410 provides an increase in the annual state salary supplement from $10,000 to $15,000 for county judges when forty percent of the functions performed are judicial. The bill, if enacted, would have a cost to the state, but would not have significant actuarial effect because it does not propose to change the funding or obligations of any public retirement system.
