LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

ACTUARIAL IMPACT STATEMENT

79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 19, 2005

TO:
Honorable Craig Eiland, Chair, House Committee on Pensions & Investments

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1474 by Eiland (Relating to certain information contained in records about members, retirees, annuitants, or beneficiaries of the Texas County and District Retirement System.), As Introduced

HB 1474 would require that information concerning an individual member, retiree, annuitant, or beneficiary of Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) that is contained in records maintained in the custody of another governmental entity or an administrator or carrier acting in cooperation with TCDRS, is not subject to public disclosure. Such information in records maintained by TCDRS is already not subject to public disclosure under current law. The bill, if enacted, will have no actuarial effect because it does not propose to change the funding or obligations of any public retirement system.
