         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 21, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle, at  
         9:06 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         SB 248 
          
         The chair laid out SB 248, which is the companion to HB 1808. 
         Representative Hardcastle offered an amendment to the measure.  
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Anderson moved that SB 248, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                         Betty; Burnam; Farrar; Olivo (6). 
         Nays:           None (0).

         amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
