         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Chisum, at 8:00 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:    Representatives Hamric; Menendez (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:53 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the later of 12:30 p.m. or  
         adjournment of the house. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 12:30 p.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Chisum. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Chisum; Berman; Pickett (3). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Hamric; Menendez (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 2:52 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Chisum. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

         Absent:    Representative Menendez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
 
          At 4:52 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
