Pursuant to a notice posted on September 28, 2006, the House Committee on Border & International Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Chavez, at 10:15 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Chavez; Alonzo; Castro; Merritt; Vo (5).

 

Absent:              Representative Griggs; Hernandez (2).

 

A quorum was present.
