         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 11, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Nixon, at 2:09 p.m.

         A quorum was present.

         At 4:41 p.m., on the motion of Representative Talton and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the
