Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 18,
2005, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Nixon, at 11:37 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Nixon; Rose; Madden; Raymond; Talton;
Woolley (6).
Absent: Representatives King, Phil; Martinez Fischer; Strama
(3).
A quorum was present.
HB 107
The chair laid out HB 107 as pending business.
Representative Talton offered a complete committee substitute.
(Representative Strama now present.)
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Rose moved that HB 107, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Nixon; Rose; Madden; Raymond;
Strama; Talton; Woolley (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives King, Phil; Martinez Fischer

HB 616
The chair recalled HB 616 from subcommittee.

Representative Talton offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Strama moved that HB 616, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Nays: None (0).

The chair laid out HB 3356 as pending business.
Representative Rose offered and explained an amendment to the
measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Rose moved that HB 3356, as amended, be reported
favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
The motion prevailed by the following record

Strama; Woolley (6).

At 11:47 a.m., on the motion of Representative Talton and
without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call
of the chair.
