Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 17,
2005, and a suspension of the House Rules for permission to meet
during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on
Environmental Regulation met in a formal meeting and was called
to order by the chair, Representative Bonnen, at 12:36 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Bonnen; Howard; Driver; Homer;
Kuempel; Smith, Wayne (6).
Absent: Representative King, Tracy (1).
A quorum was present.
HB 965
Representative Kuempel moved to reconsider the vote by which HB
965 was adopted. The motion to reconsider prevailed without
objection.
The chair laid out HB 965 as pending business.
(Representative King, Tracy now present.)
Representative Bonnen offered a complete committee substitute.
Representative Bonnen offered an amendment to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without
objection.
The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into
a new committee substitute.
Representative Homer moved that HB 965, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Bonnen; Howard; King, Tracy;
Driver; Homer; Kuempel; Smith, Wayne (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: None (0).
HB 1705
The chair laid out HB 1705 as pending business.
Representative Smith, Wayne offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Smith, Wayne moved that HB 1705, as substituted,
be reported favorably to the
full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be
printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Bonnen; Howard; King, Tracy;
Driver; Homer; Kuempel; Smith, Wayne (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: None (0).
At 12:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
