         On March 21, 2005, the House Committee on Financial Institutions  
         authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the  
         House Committee on Financial Institutions held on March 7, 2005.  
         The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting: 
          
         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on March 3,  
         2005, the House Committee on Financial Institutions met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Solomons, at 2:10 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:   Representatives Solomons; McCall; Guillen; Flynn;  
                    Orr; Riddle (6). 
          
         Absent:    Representative Chavez (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 1234, HB 1235 
          
         The chair laid out HB 1234 and HB 1235. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Paxton to explain the  
         measures.  
          
         Representative McCall offered an amendment to HB 1234, committee  
         amendment # 1.  
          
         Representative McCall offered an amendment to HB 1235, committee  
         amendment # 1. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Chavez now present.) 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Paxton to close on the  
         measures.  
          
         The amendments to both measures were withdrawn without  
         objection. 
          
         The bills were left pending without objection.

         The chair recognized Representative Flynn to explain the  
         measure.  
          
         Representative Chavez offered a complete committee substitute.
