         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 2, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Smithee, at 1:26 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                    Bill; Thompson; Van Arsdale (6). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Isett; Oliveira; Taylor (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 532 
          
         The chair laid out HB 532.  The chair recognized Representative  
         Howard to explain the measure.  
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Taylor now present.) 
          
         Representative Eiland moved that HB 532, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Smithee; Seaman; Eiland; Keffer,  
                         Bill; Taylor; Thompson; Van Arsdale (7). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

         HB 885 
          
         The chair laid out HB 885. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Seaman to explain the  
         measure. Representative Eiland offered a complete committee  
         substitute. Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)  
         The chair recognized Representative Seaman to close on the  
         measure. 
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection.   
         Representative Taylor moved that HB 885, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:
