Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and permission
to meet while the House was in session on May 10, 2005, the
House Committee on Judiciary met in a formal meeting and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Hartnett, at 8:55
p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hartnett; Hughes; Hopson; Solis; Van
Arsdale (5).
Absent: Representatives Alonzo; Gonzales; Keel; Straus (4).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 3557 as pending business.

Representative Hartnett moved that HB 3557, without amendments,
be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hartnett; Hughes; Hopson;
Alonzo; Gonzales; Solis; Straus; Van Arsdale
(8).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Keel (1).
At 8:57 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
