         Pursuant to a notice posted on June 21, 2005, the House  
         Committee on Public Education met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the chair, Representative Grusendorf, at  
         11:19 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                    Keffer, Bill; Mowery (6). 
          
         Absent:    Representatives Oliveira; Dutton; Eissler (3). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 2 as pending business.

         Representative Delisi moved that HB 2, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:

                         Eissler; Keffer, Bill; Mowery (6). 
          
         Nays:           Representatives Oliveira; Hochberg (2). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     Representative Dutton  (1). 
          
         Absent:         None  (0). 
          
         At 1:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
