CORRECTED MINUTES
On February 28, 2005, the House Committee on Law Enforcement
authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the
House Committee on Law Enforcement held on February 21, 2005.
The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 2005, the House
Committee on Law Enforcement met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Driver, at 1:41
p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Driver; Jackson, Jim; Hegar; Burnam;
Frost; Veasey (6).
Absent: Representative Hupp (1).
A quorum was present.
HB 699
The chair laid out HB 699.
The chair recognized Representative McCall to explain the
measure.
The chair recognized Representative McCall to close on the
measure.
Representative Jackson, Jim moved that HB 699, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Driver; Jackson, Jim; Hegar;
Burnam; Frost; Veasey (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Hupp (1).

HB 318
The chair laid out HB 318.
The chair recognized Representative Driver to explain the
measure.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)
The chair recognized Representative Driver to close on the
measure.
Representative Hegar moved that HB 318, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Frost; Veasey (5).
Nays: None (0).

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
