         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,  
         2005, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Talton, at 5:39 p.m.

         The chair laid out SB 356. 
          
         Representative Allen, Alma moved that SB 356, without  
         amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the  
         Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed  
         by the following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:           Representatives Talton; Wong; Menendez; Allen,  
                         Alma; Blake; Rodriguez (6). 
          
         Nays:           None (0). 
          
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
