The chair laid out SB 9 and recognized the author, Senator Brimer, to explain the bill. Senator Wentworth moved that SB 9 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The chair laid out SJR 6 and recognized the author, Senator Brimer, to explain the bill. Senator Wentworth moved that SJR 6 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Brimer resumed the chair. Senator Brimer laid out the Subcommittee on Capital Funding and Higher Education budget for approval. Senator Van de Putte moved approval of the budget; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Brimer laid out the Subcommittee on Emerging Technologies and Economic Development budget for approval. Senator Shapiro moved approval of the budget; without objection, it was so ordered. There being no further business, at 4:58 p.m. Senator Wentworth moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.
