Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Business & Commerce was held on Thursday, November 9, 2006, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

A joint hearing of the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce and the House Committee on Regulated Industries was held.  Chairman Fraser and Chairman King shared presiding duties.

 

Representative King called the House Committee on Regulated Industries to order at 1:10 p.m.  Having previously been recessed subject to the call of the chair, Senator Fraser called the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce to order at 1:10 p.m. 

 

There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Committees heard invited and public testimony on the on-going implementation of SB 7, 76th Legislature.  Witnesses testifying and registering on the interim charge are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 5:16 p.m.  Senator Fraser moved that the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce stand recess subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.  Representative King moved that the House Committee on Regulated Industries stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
