         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Standing Senate Subcommittee on  
         Emerging Technologies & Economic Development was held on Monday,  
         March 21, 2005, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at  
         Austin, Texas.

         Chairman Carona called the meeting to order at 3:06 p.m.  The  
         Committee is in recess, and a quorum was established at an  
         earlier meeting and will be re-established as the meeting  
         progresses. 
          
         Chairman Carona laid out SB 150 and in the absence of the author  
         explained the bill.   
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on  
         the attached list.  
          
         Senator Lucio, Jr. moved adoption of the minutes from the  
         previous hearings held on March 11, 2005, March 8, 2005, and  
         March 7, 2005; without objection, it was so ordered.   
           
         Chairman Carona moved that the public testimony be closed;  
         without objection, it was so ordered.   
          
         Chairman Carona moved that SB 150 be left pending; without  
         objection, it was so ordered.   
          
         There being no further business, at 3:16 p.m. Senator Carona  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
