         Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of  
         the Senate Committee on Education was held on Tuesday, May 24,  
         2005, at Senator Shapiro's Desk, in Austin, Texas.

         The posting rule, Senate Rule 11.18, was suspended to hear the  
         following bill(s): HB 2330 
          
         The chair called the meeting to order at 9:41 a.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         Senator Shapiro announced the Committee would possibly reconvene  
         around noon later that day.   
          
         There was no action taken on HB 2330. 
          
         There being no further business, at 9:43 a.m. Senator Shapiro  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
