Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Monday, October 30, 2006, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

Senator Zaffirini called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Ogden resumed the chair. 

 

The Committee heard invited testimony regarding Article III agencies.  Witnesses testifying and registering on the agencies are shown on the attached list. 

 

Senator Zaffirini assumed the chair. 

 

Testimony continued.

 

Senator Ogden resumed the chair. 

 

Testimony continued.

 

At 12:50 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 1:20 p.m.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Zaffirini reconvened the Committee at 1:21 p.m.

 

Testimony resumed.

 

Senator Ogden resumed the chair.

There being no further business, at 4:09 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 10:00 a.m, October 31, 2006.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
