11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Jurisprudence
was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in the Capitol Extension,

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. The

The chair laid out SB 978 and recognized the author, Senator
Barrientos, to explain the bill. There was a committee
