Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on State Affairs was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in the Senate Chamber at Austin, Texas.

The Committee met in joint session with the Senate Health & Human Services Committee.  The chair called the meeting to order at 9:38 a.m. 

 

The Committee took invited and public testimony on Joint Interim Charge No. 2 relating to long term care.  Witnesses testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

Chairman Duncan moved that testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

At 1:17 p.m. Chairman Duncan moved that the Committee stand recessed until 1:45 p.m; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

At 1:46 p.m. the Committee reconvened. 

 

The Committee took invited and public testimony on Interim Charge Nos. 1 & 2 and Joint Interim Charge No. 1 relating to pharmacy benefit managers.  Witnesses testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

Chairman Duncan moved that testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

 

There being no further business, at 6:02 p.m. Chairman Duncan moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
